The Story behind "Enderton" in America and how few of us there are
I have never personally met or talked to another Enderton which I could not determine a family connection...
There was a hamlet of Enderton in England, now called Hinderton. *
The first Enderton found in America is believed to be John Enderton. The next Endertons that are found are in 1800 and beyond when John, Joseph, Thomas and William Enderton are found. With the exception of the Revolutionary war era John, Daniel and Susan, all known Endertons descend from John, Joseph, Thomas and William who were born between 1800 and 1817. **
My family falls under the John Enderton branch, as does Herbert Enderton, who put together the entire Enderton Family Tree of all four descendents. Herbert's son Eric maintains www.enderton.org.
