Q: What is your name given at birth?
A: Maria Enderton. No middle name; was not the custom in Denmark at the time. It has since become more popular. My brother and mom also do not have them.
Q: Why were you given your particular name?
A: I don't know why specifically Maria, but I do know my parents consciously chose names that are common enough in Danish and American to be easily pronounced whereever we might live since it was unknown at the time.
Q: If you had to change your first name right now, what name would you choose for yourself?
A: Something traditionally Danish ('cause of my mom); maybe one of her sister's names, e.g. Lisbet, Lena, Ulla, Gull-Britt. I'm happy with my name though. If anything I would get myself a middle name.
Q: What is your hometown/town of birth?
A: Hørsholm, Denmark (though we lived in nearby Humlebæk, which is too small to have a clinic/hospital).
Q: Where do you currently reside?
A: Minneapolis, MN, USA
Q: What do you do?
A: Oh, that could mean so many things. I finally graduated with my Bachelor's, because I had taken a couple years off (I had mono twice, some other illnesses, and I spent some time on other pursuits and travelling and such). So, my training now is in Computer Science and Psychology (though I don't see myself using the psychology part in any formal way). But what "I do" now is work on paying off student loans, so I can pursue other avenues. I want to be involved in the movies in some way, as yet to be determined, but the main interest being computer special effects and graphics. And in free time I spend on different visual arts and other creative projects and crafts. It's going a little slower than I'd like, but I'm movin' along. There are so many things I want to learn about in so many fields; and never enough time it seems.
Q: What is your hair color?
A: Currently, light brown (fairly close to my natural color) -- though my favorite shade is a light red/strawberry red -- I'm giving my hair a break from coloring for a while, letting it strengthen.
Q: Have you loved somebody so much it made you cry?
A: Yes
Q: Of all of the books you were assigned to read when you were in school, what are your favorites?
A: Tough, there were a lot of them. In high school, the Lord of Rings trilogy (yes, what a teacher!). Later on: 9 Highland Road, Magical Urbanism, The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe - a play. Also Hackers (not related to the movie of same name) by Steven Levy as part of my honors project, so it was more self-assigned, but originally read for school, though I reread later.
Q: Are you a cat or dog person?
A: Cat person, all the way. Growing up my family had 2 sets of cats: Pinky and Slick while we were real young; Tigger and Brownie from 5th grade until a few years ago. Right now I have my own cat, Zelda, she's shy and sweet.
Q: Have you ever had a pet that was not a cat or dog? What was it?
A: Me and my friend Stina "shared custody" of 2 hamstersnamed "Buffy" and "Duffy." They stayed at her house, because we had a cat. They went on to have more hamsters, "Luffy", "Muffy", "Gruffy" and "George, Jr."
Q: What is your favorite food? Favorite drink?
A: Anything sweet, cakes, donuts, candy (not pie though). In particular, I love cinnamon rolls. In terms of "real food", my mom's meatballs with my dad's mashed potatos. For drink, I love apple juice. I used to be know as the apple juice girl cause I drank so much of it so often.
Q: Do you play a musical instrument?
A: Aside from a mean bass guitar in Rock Band, I played piano for 11 years and played oboe in junior high and high school.
Q: Are you a morning or night person?
A: Night.
Q: Do you believe in extraterrestrials or life on other planets?
A: I believe there is the possibility of life on another planet(s). The universe is enormous. Do I believe that we've been contacted by aliens or that we have a chance of contacting them? Not so much. Still love alien movies/games/books though.
Q: Who or what kind of person do you want to spend your life with?
A: He would make me laugh, be weird, be original, be understanding, be smart (not so much in the test-taking way, there are many kinds of intelligence).
Q: What is your favorite kind of music?
A: I like to think I have a large range of taste. I do listen to a lot of indie/folk, but besides opera and too much top 40, I like most things. One of my very favs is Indigo Girls' Strange Fire. It's solemn, but it always makes be feel better. Lately I've been listening to Sondre Lerche's Faces Down a lot.
Q: Croutons or bacon bits?
A: Croutons all the way. Bacon, not-bitted, is good too.

A: Vanilla (the real stuff, with vanilla bean specks and such).
Q: What do you do most often when you are bored?
A: Watch movies/TV, play computer/board/video games, art, crafts, books.

A: refusal to talk about, think about, reconsider, argue for/against their opinions. (i.e., narrow-minded).
Q: What is the best day of the year?
A: X-mas eve, when me, my parents and brother get together and celebrate certain family traditions, and it's relaxed and fun, with great food (Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, corn, rice pudding, mmm, mmm). It's one of the few times of the year we know we'll all be together.
Q: Do you like to dance?
A: Yes.
Q: Have you ever been in love? Are you now? If not, do you want to be?
A: Yes. No. Yes.
Q: Hugs or Kisses?
A: Both
Q: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
A: Have a non-tone-deaf singing voice. Perhaps not the most practical. I've always been rather shy, and it's something I work out, but at the same time it's also shaped who I am.
Q: Where would you like to retire?
A: All over the world - I'd prefer to travel and keep traveling.
Q: What's your favorite flower?
A: Anything unusual. I do enjoy calla lilies. I also love the smell of lilacs. Flowers are nice and all, but unless there's from the yard (or stay in the yard) they're kinda expensive and don't last. Still, every once and a while I do enjoy them.
