This is a page that right now basically just lists some favorites, in movies, tv, books and music, and a couple other random tid-bits.

My favorite movies depend on what mood I'm in, because I'll enjoy most genres at different times. Sometimes a brainless action flick is great, sometimes a romantic comedy, sometimes thrillers or fantasy or tear-jerkering drama or mysteries etc. Here are some favorites in a few different genres.
Comedy: American Splendor, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Thank You for Smoking, Shaun of the Dead, Waiting for Guffman, Mallrats, Austin Powers, Old School, Zoolander, Rushmore, Big, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Sci-Fi/Fantasy: Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Serenity, Star Wars Trilogy (4,5,6), The Terminator (1 and 2), The Matrix, Underworld, The Princess Bride, The Neverending Story
Horror/Thriller/Mystery: 28 Days Later, The Ring, Signs, Memento, Silence of the Lambs, The Usual Suspects, Run Lola Run, Resident Evil
Drama: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Fight Club, Secretary, American History X, Stand By Me, The Shawshank Redemption, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Boys Don't Cry, Shakespeare in Love
Action/Crime/Adventure: The Departed, Gladiator, Bourne series, L.A. Confidental, Braveheart, Die Hard, The Goonies
Romantic Comedies & Musicals: Strictly Ballroom, Amelie, Love Actually, Notting Hill, Bridget Jones's Diary, Moulin Rouge, Grease, The Sound of Music
A couple reference websites: IMDb (Internet Movie Database), Filmcrave

I am a bit of TV addict - sometimes it's total fluff, but there's also great programming - I enjoy both, especially the following shows...

Action/Crime Dramas/Adventure: Heroes, Lost, Alias, Law and Order
Comedy: The Office (US & UK), Chappelle's Show, Family Guy, The Simpsons, NewsRadio, Arrested Development, The Daily Show, Futurama, Ugly Betty, My Name Is Earl, Freaks and Geeks, Invader ZIM
Reality: Project Runway, So You Think You Can Dance, Survivor

As much as I love visual story-telling, I love books too. It's also fun to read a book and see the movie made from it. When you see a great adaptation it just brings more to the book. I also get into phases where I'm really interested in a topic (e.g. women in prison, capital punishment versus abortion issue) and will pick up a few non-fiction books to explore it more. Some of my favorites follow:
Novels/Fiction:
  1984 by George Orwell
On The Road by Jack Kerouac
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien
A Prayer for Owen Meany, The World According to Garp, and The Cider House Rules by John Irving
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
Still Life with Woodpecker, Skinny Legs and All, and Even Cowgirls Get the Blues by Tom Robbins
  The Stand by Stephen King
Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

Non-Fiction/Humor:
Hackers: Heroes of the Computer Revolution by Steven Levy (the history of the rise of hackers, from when hackers meant something very different than today)
Word Freak: Heartbreak, Triumph, Genius, and Obsession in the World of Competitive ScrabblePlayers by Stefan Fatsis
I Am America (And So Can You!) by Stephen Colbert
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents America (The Book) by Jon Stewart and The Writers of The Daily Show
The Mismeasure of Man by Stephen Jay Gould
Naked and Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris
Class Action: The Story of Lois Jenson and the Landmark Case that Changed Sexual Harrassment Law by Clara Bingham & Laura Leedy Gansler
Sex, Drugs & Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto by Chuck Klosterman

While I would say I enjoy most types of music (except perhaps Opera and too much country), in terms of what music I put out money for it tends to be indie/folk-type, and those are the artists represented below. But I definately enjoy some music to dance to, hip-hop, R&B, ballads and all that.
Artists: Beth Orton, Sarah McLachlan, Jason Mraz, Ryan Adams, James Taylor, Indigo Girls, Dar Williams, Ani Difranco, Sondre Lerche, Dave Matthews Band, Green Day, Brenda Weiler, Damien Rice, Aimee Mann, Beatles, Van Morrison
Album: The one album I keep coming back to is Indigo Girls Strange Fire. It's a solemn album, but it always makes me feel better, and I think it's gorgeous.

Art: In particular with pastels, colored pencils, charcoals, pencils, magazine collages. I'm working on a separate page for these interests and with samples.
Crafts: Cross-stitching (currently working on one of Copenhagen for my Dad); Knitting (currently working on an afghan as a wedding gift for my cousin), Sewing
All things Danish: As ode to my heritage. Technically I'm more Swedish than Danish (both my grandmothers are of Swedish heritage, versus one grandfather being Danish), but because of my mom being raised in Denmark, and being born there myself, and having all my mom's 8 siblings living there, I feel a strong connection. My mom goes a couple times a year usually, my dad, my brother and myself about once every two years. It's something I truly value. Also the Danes make some killer pastries and candies...mmm. Pardon me while a single tear falls thinking of how tasty they are.
Legos: Legos are a product of Denmark! They're awesome regardless of their source. Click here for the wiki on the history of the bricks. The name Lego comes from the Danish phrase "leg godt", which means "play well".
COFFEE!! I LOVE COFFEE. So addicted. I like it strong with a little cream.
